More information

1. Why choose Femi.Eko® menstrual cups over disposable products?

Femi.Eko® menstrual cups are a healthy and sustainable solution, made from 100%
medical silicone, which maintains the natural pH balance. Disposable products
is often associated with allergies, irritations and other problems due to
pesticides, dioxins and hormone-disrupting substances. Femi.Eko®
menstrual cups contain no chemicals and do not disturb the vaginal
flora, which prevents bacterial growth, unpleasant odors and irritations.

2. How do I choose the right size menstrual cup?

Femi.Eko® menstrual cups are available in different sizes to fit different
need. If you are a teenager or have a light to moderate flow, a smaller cup will do
be appropriate. If you have given birth or have a heavier flow, a larger cup can
be better. Our size chart and customer service can help you find the right size.

3. Can I use a menstrual cup with an IUD?

It is not really recommended to use a menstrual cup when you have an IUD, as there is a risk of
the cord of it to move when the cup is inserted or removed, due to the seal created by the menstrual cup. If you have an IUD and have not consulted your doctor or are not sure if you can
use a cup, we recommend using a Femi.Eko® menstrual disc, which is compatible with an IUD.

4. What is the difference between Femi.Eko® menstrual cups and menstrual discs?

Femi.Eko® menstrual cups are shaped like a small bell and are placed low in the vagina, where they create a light suction force to stay in place.
Menstrual discs, on the other hand, are round-shaped and are placed high in the vagina, directly under the cervix, and it's hold in place by the pubic bone, without creating suction. Both products can be worn for up to 12 hours, but the menstrual disc also allows mess-free sex during period, which cups not.
